| TOUGH So... remember that mini Heroes renaissance I was having after hearing about [Casting Spoiler]? Remember how I was remembering the good times and talking about The Heroes World Tour and how great the Hawkins/Sanders family was and how much i fucking LOVED the Wonder Twins? Thanks for reminding me why I GTFO of Heroes, Heroes writers. I distinctly remember, when Heroes fandom started talking about the problematic aspects of the show, the racism, the sexism, how uneven storylines and deaths were, all of it, we all maintained it was unintentional. Both me and technosage made multiple mentions of how we truly believed Kring and Co. were good people, who had the best of intentions but were just midguided and uncertain about how to do that. We thought they meant well but now I see that that was a lie. That was... they never intended good things for the People of Color on Heroes or the Women on Heroes. For those who are curious, here's a fucking BREAKDOWN. I only have pre-S4 info (except for the white dude they added as a regular to the cast this season, despite claiming not to have enough time to actually write Sendhil into any episodes) ( Scienific PROOF that Heroes has a problem with Race and Gender )Looking at this icon makes me sad, but I doubt I'll ever get rid of it. | |

| Some seriousness before I start my long blather about Doctor Who. I haven't watched Heroes at all this season (or most of last), because it was just boring. Now I'm glad that I have a good reason past "lame" to never watch it again. Heroes writer on the plight of straight white man in Hollywood: There are programs and incentives to help everyone except white males.
certain projects, films, movies, corporations will actually get money paid back to them if they hire a woman, a minority, hell double jackpot if you hire a female minority… that’s twice the money!!Buh-bye, Heroes. I haven't seen just_katarin comment on this yet, but possibly it's because she hasn't been able to summon the words. I'm finding it difficult myself. ETA: Couples' Retreat movie poster photoshops out only two African-Americans for UK release. They were already, like, half the size of the other people on the poster in the first place. Why not just get rid of them altogether? Onto more entertaining matters, ( Doctor Who 416: Waters of Mars )Apparently David Tennant is doing a TV series on our side of the pond for next year. It takes place in Chicago and it's called Rex Is Not My Lawyer. I can't wait to hear his American accent! And courtesy of my friend Costa, though I'm sure most of you have seen it already: John Barrowman dancing to Single Ladies. I don't know how or WHY this exists, but I'm glad that it does.

| Remember me? Maybe? Just a bit? Well. Long time no post, eh? Sorry. RL = making me its bitch. I found this on my hard drive. It's been there quite a while. Again, sorry. Hope this helps the long drought. I swear I'm trying to write new stuff. Maybe I can dust off some more old ones and actually finish something for once. I do have several that either just need editing or finishing. *crosses stuff* Wish me luck, eh? Title: Good BoyFandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer / Angel the Series Author: eyezrthewindows Rating: NC-17 Characters: Spike/Xander Prompt: 8. Leather Warnings: m/m sex. The best kind of warning you can have. Also, public sex. Yummy. Summary: Forth bit in The Swinging Series. Spike and Xander head back to the club and have a bit of fun on the dance floor. It's all Xander's leather pants' fault. Disclaimer: It may come as a surprise but I'm not Joss Whedon or Mutant Enemy and therefore I do not own Spike or any of his many shagging and verbal sparring partners. I weep for the injustice of it all and play with these characters in the fiction I write because this is pretty much all the fun I have. Smut table: Spike/bunches of people. Progress: 44/69 Beta: None whatsoever. Let's play a game. It's called "How many mistakes you can find in my fic". *snicker* Really, if you find anything let me know. It would be much appreciated. | |

| Who has been to Germany? I honestly do not know what to see...! There is too much difference. It's like when someone asks me "what should I see in Australia?" and i say "well there's deserts, beaches, mountains and cities... what do you like?" I usually direct people to the beaches, because we have beautiful sunny beaches here and they appear quite different to anything I've seen while travelling.
So what of Germany? What should I focus on? Anyone have any favourite places???
I would only have about 2 weeks in April/May season... what is a MUST? - Mood:thankful

| My Chemical Romance Trade Theatrics for Raw Rock on Next LPWhen My Chemical Romance finally stopped touring behind their 2006 concept album The Black Parade, the band was so drained guitarist Frank Iero feared the worst: "I thought the band was going to break up." But instead of splitting, MCR took a break, then hit a Los Angeles studio with Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen producer Brendan O’Brien and spent almost a full year crafting something far from the theatrical pomp of the Parade. As singer Gerard Way tells Rolling Stone in our new issue, he wanted to "harness everything that’s great about this band into shorter songs. Almost protopunk, like the Stooges or the MC5." | The list of nominees reads like an iPod party mix, so naturally, the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards have lined up an eclectic list of performers and presenters too. Passion Pit and the Clipse — featuring Cam'ron and Rick Ross — have just been confirmed to perform at the sixth-annual Woodies, joining already-announced acts Death Cab for Cutie, the Dead Weather and Matt & Kim. Breakout Woodie nominees Passion Pit will be performing their breakout single "The Reeling," while the Clipse will take on a pair of tracks, teaming with Cam on "Popular Demand (Popeye's)" and Ross for "I'm Good." Genre-blurring DJ/producer Diplo, who lately has been spending time as one half of Major Lazer, has also been announced as the house DJ for the night. But all the onstage action won't just be of the performance variety. On Monday (November 16), the Woodies also announced a slate of big-name presenters, including Pete Wentz, Zooey Deschanel, 3OH!3, Mary-Louise Parker, David Cross, Janelle Monáe, and Woodie of the Year nominee Asher Roth. The 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards will take place this Wednesday at the Roseland Ballroom in New York. The show will then premiere Friday, December 4, at 10 p.m. ET on mtvU, MTV, MTV2 and Palladia. Winners in all Woodies categories — like Woodie of the Year, the Breaking Woodie and the Left Field Woodie, to name just a few — are determined by you, the college music fan. Voting is still open through Monday over at Woodies.MTV.com. source | |

| Dear How I Met Your Mother:
If tonight's episode is not the greatest fucking episode to ever grace my television screen (well, my computer screen), you and I may very well be through professionally.
That is pretty much all I have to say! Other than, unrelatedly, if you're not watching Modern Family you should be. Same goes for Community.
Less than a week until Thanksgiving break and one day shorter than that makes the time until my nineteenth birthday.
