Things I Did Tonight: A List

1. Saw District 9.
2. Hated District 9.
3. Was informed by everyone else I saw District 9 with that I am an idiot for hating District 9.
4. Became butthurt that no one else hates District 9 the way I hate District 9.
5. Went home and watched reruns of America's Next Top Model.

It was pretty race-faily, tbh. :/ And I just srsly hated every single character in that movie. Also the ~action~ scenes bored me to death. The people I saw it with rly liked it, though, and the skeevy race stuff is easy to compartmentalize through if you just don't think about the movie as an allegory for anything, so YMMV. :D

District 9 is a not even thinly-veiled apartheid allegory where instead of black people you have giant alien cockroaches, with an all-white mostly South African direction and production team. There was no way that it was going to be non-faily and you are good and should feel good for recognizing that. >:(

(And I have really got to get some new icons, because my options right now are none or happy pre-split panic.)

IAWTC. It was inevitable that it was going to be faily because lol Hollywood, but it was still pretty gross. :/

I need to get more icons too. I've had most of these for a looooooong time. Stock icons ftw, though, because there is no potential sadmaking in someone you don't care about/know! :D?
